MatchOps

The Statistics Modal is your central hub for viewing and analyzing performance data across games, seasons, tournaments, and individual players.

Opening Statistics

Access statistics by clicking the Stats button in the control bar or menu.

Tabs Overview

The modal has five tabs, each showing data at a different aggregation level:

Current Game - Stats for the active game only
Season - Aggregated stats across season games
Tournament - Aggregated stats across tournament games
Overall - Combined stats across ALL games
Player - Detailed individual player statistics and career data

Filters reset when you switch between tabs. Each tab starts with clean filter state.

Current Game Tab

Shows statistics for the game you're currently viewing.

What You See

Game info - Teams, score, location, time, periods
Player stats table - Goals and assists for players selected in this game only
Goal events - Editable list of goals with time, scorer, and assister
Personnel summary - Coaches and staff assigned to the game
Game notes - Your recorded observations (editable)

Editing Goals

Click any goal event to edit it:

Change the scorer or assister
Adjust the time
Delete the goal entirely

Changes update the score automatically.

Filters

No filters on this tab - it shows only the current game's data.

Season Tab

Shows aggregated statistics across all games in a season (excluding tournament games).

What You See

When a specific season is selected:

Team Performance Card showing that season's record
Player stats table with season totals

When "All Seasons" is selected:

Aggregate stats card showing totals across all seasons
Combined player stats

Filters

Always visible:

Season selector - Choose a specific season or "All Seasons"

In collapsible panel (tap "Filters"):

Team - Filter by specific team, "All Teams", or "Legacy Games" (pre-team games)
Game Type - Soccer, Futsal, or All
Gender - Boys, Girls, or All
Club Season - Filter by period (e.g., "24/25")

Tournament Tab

Shows aggregated statistics across tournament games (excluding season games).

What You See

Same as Season tab but for tournament context:

Team Performance Card for selected tournament
Player stats aggregated across tournament games

Filters

Always visible:

Tournament selector - Choose a specific tournament or "All Tournaments"

In collapsible panel:

Series - Only appears if the selected tournament has series/groups defined. Filter to a specific series within the tournament.
Team - Filter by team
Game Type - Soccer, Futsal, or All
Gender - Boys, Girls, or All
Club Season - Filter by period

The Series filter only appears when you select a specific tournament that has series configured. It won't show for "All Tournaments" or tournaments without series.

Overall Tab

Shows combined statistics across ALL games - both seasons and tournaments.

What You See

Team Performance Card with all-time stats
Optional team assessment averages (if you've rated games)
Player stats table for all players across all games

Filters

Always visible:

Team selector - Always shown on this tab with three options:
- All Teams - Stats across all your teams combined
- Legacy Games - Games created before team system (no team assigned)
- Specific team - Stats for one team only

In collapsible panel:

Game Type - Soccer, Futsal, or All
Gender - Boys, Girls, or All
Club Season - Filter by period

Player Tab

The most feature-rich tab - shows comprehensive individual player statistics and career data.

Player Selection

Use the searchable dropdown to select a player. You can search by name or nickname. The list includes all players from your roster.

Summary Stats

Shows four key metrics in a card:

Games Played - Total games
Goals - Total goals + per-game average
Assists - Total assists + per-game average
Points - Goals + Assists combined + per-game average

Filter Status Indicator

When Club Season filter is active, a blue banner shows: "Viewing stats for selected club season only (X of Y games)" - helping you understand you're seeing filtered data.

Filters

In collapsible panel:

Game Type - Soccer, Futsal, or All
Gender - Boys, Girls, or All
Club Season - Filter by period

Team filter is not shown on Player tab - player stats are inherently player-specific across all their teams.

External Games Section

Record games the player played for other teams or in other leagues:

Add external game with:

Season or Tournament (optional - for organizing)
Home/Away/Neutral indicator
External team name and opponent
Score
Game date
Stats: Games, Goals, Assists
Fair Play Card checkbox
"Include in Season/Tournament stats" toggle
Optional note

Include in Season/Tournament toggle:

When ON: External game stats count toward season/tournament aggregates
When OFF: Only counts toward player's overall career stats

Existing adjustments show in a list with edit/delete options.

Game Log & Trends

Metric selector - Choose what to visualize:

Goals & Assists (dual-line sparkline chart)
Goals only (area chart)
Assists only (area chart)
Points (area chart)
Assessment metrics (area charts)

Charts show the player's performance trends over time.

Performance Ratings Section

If you've recorded player assessments:

Individual metric ratings - Physical, technical, tactical, mental, etc.
Overall rating - Combined rating
Average rating - Weighted average across metrics
Rated games count - How many games have assessments

Demand Correction toggle:

When enabled, ratings from harder opponents count more
Weights the averages by game difficulty

Assessment trends - Mini charts showing how each metric changed over time

Assessment notes - List of notes you've added during games

Season/Tournament Performance

Breakdown tables showing:

Per-season stats (GP, goals, assists, points, fair play cards)
Per-tournament stats (same metrics + tournament winner indicator)

Game-by-Game Breakdown

Individual game rows showing:

Result strip - Color-coded: green (win), red (loss), gray (draw)
Teams and opponent
Date
Goals and assists - Color-coded numbers
Badges:
- EXT (purple) - External game
- FP (green) - Fair Play Card received
- Futsal (orange) - Futsal game

Click any game row to navigate to that game's full statistics (except external games).

Team Performance Card

Appears on Season, Tournament, and Overall tabs.

Metrics Shown

Games Played - Total count
Record - Win-Loss-Tie format (e.g., "12-3-2")
Win % - Percentage of games won
Goal Difference - Goals for minus goals against (green if positive, red if negative)
Goals For - Total scored
Goals Against - Total conceded
Avg GF - Average goals scored per game
Avg GA - Average goals conceded per game
Last Game Date - When shown

Specific vs All

When viewing a specific season/tournament:

Shows one Team Performance Card for that context only

When viewing "All Seasons" or "All Tournaments":

Shows aggregate stats card with combined totals across all contexts

Player Stats Table

Appears on Current Game, Season, Tournament, and Overall tabs.

Columns

Player - Name (clickable to view details)
GP - Games Played
Goals - Total goals scored
Assists - Total assists
Pts - Points (Goals + Assists)
Avg - Average points per game

Sorting

Click any column header to sort. Click again to reverse. Sorting indicator arrows show current sort state.

Row Click

Click any player row to:

Switch to Player tab
Select that player
View their detailed career stats

Totals Row

Bottom row shows aggregate totals across all displayed players.

Club Season Filter

Filters games by club/academic season period (e.g., October to May).

Setup Required

Club Season filter requires configuration in Settings:

Set season start date (month-day)
Set season end date (month-day)

If not configured, the filter shows as disabled with a settings button to configure it.

Options

All Periods - Shows all games regardless of season
Specific periods - e.g., "23/24", "24/25"
Off-season - Games outside the configured season period

Exporting Statistics

Export buttons appear in the modal footer. Available exports depend on the active tab:

Current Game - Single game data (events, player stats, notes)
Season - Season aggregate stats
Tournament - Tournament aggregate stats
Overall - Full aggregate stats across all games
Player - Individual player career data

Exports are saved as Excel (.xlsx) files.

Common Use Cases

Post-Game Review

Stats opens to Current Game tab automatically
Verify goal events are correct
Check player contributions
Add game notes if needed

Season Progress Check

Switch to Season tab
Select your season from dropdown
Review team record and win percentage
Check top scorers in player table
Click player rows for individual details

Player Development Tracking

Switch to Player tab
Select player from dropdown
Review career stats and trends
Check assessment ratings over time
Use Club Season filter to compare periods
Add external games if they played elsewhere

Tournament Analysis

Switch to Tournament tab
Select tournament
Use Series filter to compare group performance
Review team stats and player contributions
