Player Assessment
MatchOps includes a comprehensive player assessment system for tracking development:
Assessment Dimensions
To access player assessments, click the three-dot menu (⋮) on a player row and select Stats. You can rate players on 10 dimensions (each 1-10):
- Intensity - Game engagement and work rate
- Courage - Bravery and willingness to challenge
- Duels - Performance in contested situations
- Technique - Ball control and skill
- Creativity - Ability to create chances and play-making
- Decisions - Decision-making quality
- Awareness - Game awareness and positioning
- Teamwork - Cooperation and support for teammates
- Fair Play - Discipline and conduct
- Impact - Overall effect on game
Additionally, you can set an Overall Score (1-10) and add Notes for detailed observations. The assessment also tracks Minutes Played automatically.
Player assessments are private and stored securely. They're useful for tracking individual development goals.
Organizing Your Roster
Sorting Options
Sort your roster by:
- Last Name - Alphabetical by surname (default)
- Newest - Most recently added players first
- Oldest - Earliest added players first
Removing Players
Removing a player doesn't delete them from past games. Historical data is preserved.
To remove a player:
- Find the player in the roster panel
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on their row
- Select Delete from the dropdown
- Confirm the action
Multiple Teams
If you coach multiple teams, use the Teams and Seasons system:
- Create separate teams in the organization settings
- Each team maintains its own roster
- Switch between teams when creating games
- See Teams & Organization for details
Data Backup
Your roster data is stored securely. To protect against data loss:
- Use the Export feature regularly
- Save backups to cloud storage or another device
- Export before device changes or updates
See Data Management for detailed backup instructions.
